On May 25, 2022, our MIFIA team came to the Autism Development Center as volunteers to get closer to autistic children, attend classes with them, and enter their world.
This was not our first time volunteering, but it was our first time to get so close to autistic children. Maybe in the past, none of us knew much about autistic children and didn't know much about them. We thought they were just kids who didn't like to talk and liked to live in their own world. But through this volunteer activity, we have a different understanding of them, they just grow up slower and slower than other children. They build their own world and keep everything in order, which is an amazing talent that even adults can't do, living in a chaotic world. They are also very sweet, just like our children. Don't be afraid of them,they may lose their security when they scream, all we can do is to give them more love and patience to comfort them.
Every child is a gift from God, and every autistic child is a star in the sky, and they all shine brightly. It is a great joy to pay more attention to them, to give them more patience, more tenderness, more love, to encourage them, to praise them, to identify with them, to get smiles and happy responses from them.
