From January 26th to 30th, 2024, MIFIA participated in the AMBIENTE exhibition in Frankfurt. We gained a lot from this exhibition. It was a particularly challenging event, but fortunately, we managed to find solutions to every obstacle. Though not perfect, we consider it a success!
Crisis 1: Due to the Red Sea crisis, we faced the possibility of our samples not arriving at the exhibition on time, despite arranging them well in advance. Our samples had been prepared and scheduled for transport three months before the start of the event. However, due to issues with the courier company, we found ourselves in a crisis. Our boss made a swift decision and arranged for some samples to be air-freighted as a backup plan in case they didn't arrive.
Crisis 2: Wenzhou, a city in southern China, rarely experiences snow. The last snowfall was a thin layer ten years ago. However, this year, a heavy snowfall transformed the city overnight, presenting a sight usually seen only in the north. Roads froze, trees were frosted, and southern residents, unaccustomed to such snow, built snowmen. Unfortunately, for MIFIA's small team flying to Germany, the snow arrived at an inopportune time. Our flight was delayed by two hours, making the connecting flight time extremely tight. Inadequate snow removal capabilities in the city led to busy traffic, and each team member raced against time to find faster routes and transportation. Fortunately, everyone eventually took off smoothly.
Crisis 3: Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport in Germany, a new crisis emerged. We were notified that the hotel we had booked months in advance was canceled due to renovations. Meanwhile, our luggage remained at the departure airport rather than arriving with us. Additionally, due to some transportation strikes, our original plans had to be changed. It felt like a long day and night, with time seemingly stretched infinitely. Fortunately, both of MIFIA's main pillars were in full force, and everyone sprang into action, actively seeking new hotel accommodations and communicating with airport personnel to find alternative solutions.
Crisis 4: On the day of exhibition setup, we received a notification from the decoration manager that many installation structures were damaged in an accident involving the truck carrying decoration materials. As a result, the on-site setup could not be as we had planned, and we had to make do with what we had. Upon arrival at the site, we found that we had indeed suffered significant losses. However, considering the circumstances, we were relatively fortunate. Amidst the chaos, many items were missing, including lighting and samples, and various decorations were incomplete. Fortunately, our decoration manager was very responsible and provided all the support and assistance within their capabilities. With everyone's efforts, the final setup was completed satisfactorily.
Perfect Conclusion: Despite facing numerous challenges and unexpected events, crises always come with opportunities. Difficulties make us stronger, and we strive to overcome them to achieve better results. Everyone performed excellently at the exhibition, establishing intimate communication with clients using their unique charm. The overall performance of the exhibition was outstanding. Our zipper bag wall and leather wall have always been the focus of attention, especially our EVA zipper bags and leather, which have attracted attention with their professionalism, uniqueness, and high quality. In addition, several series of products received great praise upon their market launch.
A perfect conclusion awaits, and we look forward to the next exhibition, as well as the opportunity to meet and communicate with both new and old friends once again. Face-to-face communication allows for better understanding of each other and the true needs of our clients.
